Thermo International was happy to assist one of our customers who had a
challenging thermal expansion to perform for their customer. This large rotor from a high horsepower low RPM motor is 109” in diameter (with the poles removed) and is shrunk on to a 14” diameter shaft. The large diameter and relatively small shaft made this application more difficult than most thermal expansions.

While we're inspecting, repairing, and maintaining our induction heating fleet, our production team is also busy restocking the coils, parts, and accessories our customers depend on when outage season arrives.

One of our customers recently faced an unusual challenge. Their end client had been trying to remove a stubborn strainer from a large industrial valve for several years—without success.

Many large turbine bolts are manufactured with a center hole designed for traditional cal rod heaters. Thermo International’s induction bolt heating system is engineered to take advantage of that same heater hole—but deliver heat much more rapidly.
