Tonight I had the honor of teaching an Intro to Mosaics class at the Refinery Church in Mt. Sterling. Before we started, McKenzie read a beautiful devotion that I wanted to share:
“Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.”
Ecclesiastes 3:11
“As I thought about this mosaic class and how to partner it with His Word I couldn’t help but notice all the different pieces in front of us broken tile, glass, stone, beads, etc. that Each one unique. Each one once whole. Some sharp. Some uneven. Some that might not look like much on their own.
And isn’t that just like our lives?
We all walk through hard seasons low valleys, disappointments, unexpected turns. Sometimes something that once felt beautiful feels shattered, and we can’t make sense of it. In the moment all we see are the broken pieces.
But when we surrender those pieces to the Lord He doesn’t waste them. He gathers them. He places them intentionally. He creates something more beautiful than we could have ever imagined.
Tonight isn’t just about art. It’s about remembering that the Lord wastes nothing. Not one tear. Not one season. Not one broken piece. He is making everything beautiful in His time. “🤍
