Today's the day!

It's going to be a little chilly, but a beautiful fall day to get out and enjoy some good food, great company, and community fun!

Come on out to the 1st Annual Veterans & Community Fall Festival at Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834!

We're kicking things off at 11 AM with the Cruise In, food, community organizations, miniature burros, music, and plenty more throughout the day!

It's free to attend, so grab a jacket, bring the family, and come spend the day with us!

COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION — CELEBRATING 250 YEARS OF AMERICA

Everyone is invited to join us for a special Community Thanksgiving Celebration as we come together to worship the Lord, give thanks for His many blessings, and celebrate 250 years of America and the religious freedom we have been blessed to enjoy.

We are especially grateful to gather in one of our community’s historic churches as Christians from across Fleming County come together in worship and thanksgiving.

The Fleming County High School Choir will provide special music.

We will also have a special time of recognition for our veterans. We encourage veterans from throughout our community to attend so that we may recognize and thank them for their service.

We are also honored to welcome Kentucky State Representative David Hale, 74th District, who serves as pastor of Korea Church of God in Wellington, Kentucky, as our special guest speaker.

Churches throughout our community are encouraged to save the date and join us! Please invite your congregations, families, friends, and especially the veterans in your churches and communities.

Let us come together as one community to worship the Lord, remember His faithfulness, celebrate our freedoms, honor our veterans, and give thanks for all He has done for us.

Join us for the 1st Annual Veterans & Community Fall Festival, hosted by Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834 on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Location: 1335 Mt Sterling Rd, Flemingsburg KY 41041

We are putting this FREE event together as a way to give back to the community that has continued to support our Veterans and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834, with a full day of family-friendly fun, music, food, competition, and community connection!

Cruise In! From 11 AM to 2 PM, presented by The Buffalo Trace Motor Club
Community & Nonprofit Booths
Co****le Tournament
Pool Tournament following Co****le (21+)
Picking on the Porch starting at 4 PM with local musicians and up-and-coming talent
Flag Retirement Ceremony at dusk

Food Truck On Site: El Mixteco Mexican Bar & Grill

Come out and get introduced to the following local organizations and Veterans groups. Hear their stories and find out about what they provide and support.

A very special thanks to our participating organizations that currently include Franklin Sousley Foundation, Warrior Ridge, Burros for Heroes , Military Adventure Camp at Camp Sousley and looking to add more.

If you would like to set up a booth or a table please reach out.

This is a FREE community event built around giving back to the community that supports our Veterans.
