Dear Friends,
It is with great pleasure that we announce the Traditional Flint Juneteenth Celebration of Flint and Genesee County for the 2026 season. We are gearing up for a month-long celebration from May 31 to June 28, 2026. In this, our 54th commemoration, we are once again engaging the community with a primary focus on education, liberation, and history—all while coming together in joyful fellowship. Our commitment to building lasting legacies is driven by the investments we make in our community today.
We invite corporations, businesses, individuals, and institutions to advertise in our commemorative journal. This is an excellent opportunity to highlight your services or simply share a message of congratulations and encouragement with the Flint community. On behalf of the Traditional Flint Juneteenth Committee, we invite you to support our efforts and be part of something greater than yourself. As the saying goes, “We are our ancestors' wildest dreams.” We also want to extend a special thanks to our ongoing sponsors for believing in this initiative, which has been a staple in the City of Flint and Genesee County for over five decades. We are connected for life!
Juneteenth is a national holiday, and it is incredible to see the Flint and Genesee County communities so deeply involved in uplifting this vital piece of American history. Thank you for all of your past contributions. We would greatly appreciate your continued support in helping us host our greatest Juneteenth celebration yet.
If you need additional information or if you are ready to secure your journal advertisement, please contact DeWaun E. Robinson, Chairperson, at 313-258-8967. Together, we are contributing to the robust, thriving community we all love.
In solidarity and celebration,
The Traditional Juneteenth Celebration of Flint & Genesee County
