Throughout her career, Emily Stetson has championed environmental stewardship, community engagement, and educational initiatives that inspire residents to take pride in and care for the places they call home.

As Genesee County Parks program manager and director of Keep Genesee County Beautiful, Stetson oversees numerous initiatives that directly improve residents’ quality of life. From organizing large-scale beautification and cleanup efforts to developing sustainable park programming, her work fosters community pride while addressing environmental challenges.

Dr. Ja’Nel Jamerson’s experiences as a first-generation college student and a Detroit high school teacher helped shape his passion for advocacy and action to ensure every child can thrive.

Throughout his career, Jamerson has focused on establishing multi-sector partnerships that address complex social issues.

In 2014, he helped establish the Flint & Genesee Literacy Network and served as its first executive director. He was also instrumental in founding the Flint Early Childhood Collaborative and developing Educare Flint in the wake of the Flint water crisis. He served as executive director of Educare Flint and vice president of Policy & P-20 Partnerships at the Community Foundation of Greater Flint.

Through his leadership in housing and neighborhood revitalization, Guynn is committed to helping homeowners access critical repairs that allow them to remain safely and comfortably in their homes.

In addition to this work, he serves as a key partner to Flint neighborhood organizations. He leads the BRAND neighborhood small grants program, helping resident-led groups turn ideas into action and empowering neighborhoods to create meaningful, lasting change.

His leadership experience spans government, philanthropy, healthcare policy, and civic engagement, and reflects a consistent commitment to ensuring communities — particularly those that are often underrepresented — have access to advocacy and responsive leadership.

He previously served as regional manager to U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow, overseeing regional operations, constituent engagement, appropriations strategies, and policy initiatives. Earlier in his career, he served on statewide initiatives addressing vaccine hesitancy among young adults and advancing public health education.

A graduate of Tennessee State University, where he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees, Love has used his educational background and professional experience to create opportunities for others in Flint and beyond.

As the founder of Garden of Y.O.U.T.H., an alkaline water company inspired by the Flint water crisis, Love has focused on promoting health awareness and positive community engagement. Through the brand, he has focused on wellness, entrepreneurship, and economic growth, while encouraging young people to think beyond their current circumstances and pursue ownership opportunities.
