It makes my heart happy when a writer finds their voice, discovers their niche, and lands in publications where their work is needed and appreciated.

It’s challenging finding a creative rhythm in summer that will take you into fall and keep you growing all year. There’s a slim chance of making this happen on your own, but bring in creative challenge, inspiration, and a writing community that really listens - everything becomes possible!

This Tuesday, August 8, Summer Journaling, a workshop on the coast capturing the itinerant, midsummer spirit of summer.

Summer Journaling at Lane Community College, Florence, will excavate from you . . . a lyric, a complaint, a story-start, seed of a poem, a grudge, a memory, a full blown chapter of a novel you’ve always dreamed you’d write.

Let me help you honor and explore what you are already creating somewhere deep inside yourself.

If you have been in other classes of mine (or haven’t), you’ll recognize some elements and find other things totally new and exciting.
