We agree with Governor Henry McMaster… Cody Simpson is the right man for S.C. Agriculture Commissioner!

Election season is upon us. South Carolina’s farmers and foresters deserve the best. Their new leader must be one who loves our state, knows our land, and will always do right by our people. One who will help President Trump Make Agriculture Great Again. That leader is fifth-generation P*e Dee farmer Cody Simpson, and I am calling on Cody to step up and answer the call to serve as South Carolina’s next Commissioner of Agriculture.

President Trump appointed Cody to lead the South Carolina Farm Service Agency. Before that, he served as my agriculture advisor. Cody Simpson has the experience needed and, just as importantly, has the knowledge and understanding of the challenges our rural families face. Because he has lived them. If he runs, he will do so with my full endorsement and support.

My brother, Sam Mclaughlin, and his barn mates at Baucom Stables Kayla Baucom and Tyler Baucom are heading to Asheville NC with a large horse trailer loaded with supplies on Saturday morning. First, pray for their safety and second that these items will be a blessing to those they can reach. Second, lets fill the trailer!

Paper products (paper towels, toilet paper, cups, plates, forks)
Cleaning supplies

The Workforce Butler Team, represented by Craig Butler and Stephanie Rawlinson, were honored to present at the Southeastern Employment Training Association (SETA) Fall Conference as Certified SHRM Providers.

Their presentation focused on “GPS Precision in Leadership Development for Workforce Development Professionals.” The conference, held in Savannah, Georgia, was a resounding success and it was an honor to be invited to present. The team eagerly anticipates their next presentation at the upcoming Spring Conference in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Congratulations to Winston Oluwole, Bridgette Coats and Tamekia White-Davis the winners of our $1500 give away. They won a free leadership assessment, leadership coaching and development session with one of our professional leadership developers- valued at $500 each. We look forward to their positive feedback at the SETA Spring Conference in March at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
