Hey RGYPers! Make sure you all vote on your favorite mural design for Centennial Park!

Nicholas Zimbro Mural Vote

The Cañon City Public Art Committee is excited to announce an upcoming summer mural project. As part of their mission to enhance the vibrancy and cultural landscape of our downtown, they have partnered with acclaimed artist Nicholas Zimbro to bring a large-scale work of art to our community this July.

Nick has developed three distinct design concepts specifically for Cañon City. Please review the three and cast your vote for the design you want to see come to life this July.

The community can vote on the design concepts from June 3 through June 10. The top-voted mural design will be recommended to City Council during the June 15, 2026 council meeting. Please vote only once. Multiple votes from the same person will not be counted.

Another meeting is in the books! Last night’s RGYP meetup was another great evening with great people. It’s always a good time getting inside our local businesses and hearing directly from the people building them, especially those folks in our 18 to 45 age demographic.

Want to give a big thank you to Flying With Freda, Brianna, and Leah for allowing us to come in and get a firsthand look at how they approach movement, recovery, and overall wellness. Not only did they walk us through their services, but also their philosophy, entrepreneurial journey, and the bigger picture behind their work.

Last shoutout to Nanci over at Tailored West for putting together a fancy charcuterie board for us. Be sure to check out their newly renovated space on Main Street as well. It is an incredible revamp of what was once an empty building. We have a feeling we'll be doing a meeting there soon!

Once again, we appreciate everyone who came out. You could spend two hours doing anything else, and we know that, but these kinds of visits and conversations are what make RGYP special to us and this community.

WOW what an incredible meetup last night! Thanks to the hard work of many hands, we’ve helped beautify the site of the unscheduled truck demo from October! Hopefully for Little Canyon Inn, having an elevated wall will help communicate their hospitality even more!
Pizza was eaten, wisdom was shared by Adam, and many enjoyed their intuitive readings by Meg! Overall, it was an incredible meetup with beautiful weather and great company!

Tomorrow is the DAY! During the Royal Gorge Young Professionals - March Meetup we’ll be painting a mural for the wonderful Little Canyon Inn
The sketch of the original concept is on the wall, ready for RGYPers to add some color!
Mural painting starts tomorrow at 4pm, with the official meetup starting at 6pm!
Pizza and beverages are available, and Moriah with Driftwood and Clay Art Market will bring by brushes, water cups, and some aprons!
Come by and help LCI beautify where the truck and trailer drove through their business in October! Otherwise, come chill out in thier greenhouse, enjoy the gorgeous view, and network with other young professionals
