π₯ Wildfire Deployment Update π₯
At approximately 11:00 a.m. today, Florissant Fire Rescue responded to an Immediate Needs Request for a wildfire in Fremont County.
Upon arrival, our members joined other SOCO units engaged in a fast-moving wildfire that was threatening multiple homes. While assisting on that incident, a second wildfire was reported, and Florissant firefighters were immediately reassigned.
Chief 50 and Brush 53 were the first units to arrive at the new fire, where they found multiple outbuildings fully involved and fire spreading rapidly. Crews immediately went to work protecting nearby homes and removing animals from the area until additional local fire agencies arrived.
By the end of the day, Florissant Fire Rescue had responded to and assisted with three wildfires in Fremont County before returning to the district at approximately 9:00 p.m.
Todayβs response is a testament to the dedication of our volunteers and the importance of strong mutual aid partnerships when multiple incidents occur across our region.
