In this clip we’re digging a trench for the 18”x18” NDS catch basin we installed with a Takeuchi 4,000 lb mini-ex. A 6” pvc pipe was extended downgrade to the discharge area where it was attached to a 6” popup emitter. This setup is designed to move a large amount of water and should alleviate most of the standing water issues in this area.

Commercial drainage project in Flowery Branch, GA

This project was necessitated due to water intrusion issues that were resulting during periods of heavy rain and localized flooding. We first cleared out a failed drainage system that was previously installed, pressure washed the entire length of the building 12” below and 12” above grade, primed the exposed section of the foundation, applied an elastomeric waterproofing sealant, created a solid base in the bottom of our trench using 57 stone, installed a perforated drain pipe with filtration fabric, and backfilled with drainage rock as well. Once the system was in, the area was regraded with native soil, and will be seeded and covered with straw. Drainage problem no more.

Drainage project in Flowery Branch, GA

Finishing up the discharge area of this recent drainage project we completed to alleviate flooding and runoff issues these clients were having in their front yard. An NDS catch basin was installed and connected to 4” pvc pipe. A trench was excavated and the pipe was directed downhill where it will discharge into this dry creek bed.
