Today we had a Mexican Fiesta luncheon for our whole staff celebrating a goal we recently reached of 1,000 access control doors with Alarm.com (our partner of choice for access control). Kristin Hebert, our Alarm.com rep, came to town to celebrate this accomplishment with us. This is a huge milestone, and we’re so thankful for our team.

Also, we were surprised by our DSC rep (Rusty Rumley) along with Jonathan Jennings who came to the luncheon and presented us with an award. It reads “In Appreciation of Pennington & Trim Alarm Services Our #1 Partner in Mississippi 2025. DSC is our partner of choice for our security division.

We believe in celebrating goals met. A big shout out to our whole staff from sales, to technicians, to schedulers, to accounting! We have a great team, and we accomplish amazing things together.

Now we’re onto the next goal!

The summer of 2026 has been the busiest we’ve ever had in our 39-year history. As we grow like crazy, we know we need help in our Service Department. A big shout out to our staff that donated items for a food drive we did for We Will Go to help their neighbors on Farish Street in downtown Jackson. A big thank you to all those who loaded everything in the vehicle and also to David Anderson for dropping it all off.

We Will Go does an amazing job opening their doors to neighbors needing food. One of their neighbors said, “I love coming to We Will Go. I do need the groceries, but my absolute favorite thing is the volunteers and staff spending time with each of us to listen and pray with us. It’s a huge blessing and encouragement.”

Over 1,000 families come through their pantry every month, and they want to pray for and engage with each one. In the past our staff has actually served helping people get groceries and praying with them. We encourage others to go volunteer for this as well.

We also collected snack items that they use for afterschool ministry where they help students with homework while they enjoy their snacks and do Bible lessons with them and let them have fun on the playground. We think it’s great that they are helping the kids in downtown Jackson reach their full potential.

If you want to do a Food Drive, see the info below. It’s a great way to help alleviate the pressures of food insecurity and to provide snacks to help kids K-5 thru 5th grade to be in a good environment after school.

Can you believe it’s already been 5 years?! 🤯 Michelle Smith’s 5-year work anniversary was June 7th, 2026, but we celebrated on June 30th. She picked Mexican, so we went to Pedros Tacos restaurant and had a Mexican Fiesta for her anniversary luncheon. It was a nice break for everyone to eat and fellowship and honor Michelle. She was showered with many kind words, a creative poem by Darline Robinson that was spot on for Michelle as well as a basket of little happies.

This marks a milestone! 🎉 Please join us in celebrating Michelle’s five years of service on the P&T Team. Over the past half-decade, Michelle has tirelessly worked on collecting past dues and helping with phones and other projects in the Accounting Department. I knew from the moment I interviewed her 5 years ago that she was a great people person.

Michelle we know you enjoyed using your anniversary bonus 💰 to spend time on the beach with your family and grandsons, which we know you greatly deserved and needed after taking care of your mom. The increase in time off benefits from 14 days to 18 days will give you more opportunities to enjoy your grandchildren and family.

During our recent quarterly Mission Trip Day, we had a guest speaker encourage our staff. Thank you Zach Canoy (COO of Word of Life Church) for sharing what God put on your heart!

Here’s an overview of what he shared: He always thought if you do right and avoid wrong, you’ll probably be alright. It was all about performance. However, we love, because He (Jesus) first loved us. God made man in His image. It’s not about performance but grace. If you draw near to God, He will draw near to you. Your life will move in the direction of your thoughts. Your words carry power. What you agree with you give voice to. Romans 12:2 says to renew your mind. You can’t outthink yourself. Speak differently. Know who you are. God says you are the head and not the tail. God will provide all your needs. Declare God’s Word over your life. The Holy Spirit empowers you to live for God. Don’t live at the mercy of your thoughts. You can choose what you agree with. You don’t wake up and arrive. Give yourself grace to walk it out and get better. Lead your thought life. Having a renewed mind is a powerful thing. God doesn’t need your perfection, He needs your surrender.

Josh Trim was the winner of our quarterly award with bonus. We have a great P&T Team, and we like to reward people for their hard work, dedication, great customer service, good attendance, etc. Our most recent award was the Call Of Duty Award.

Thank you for going above and beyond the call of duty Josh. Every time you answer the phone, the caller hears your smile. You make the connections with enthusiasm and style, leaving each individual glad they called. Your care and dedication ring true in all you do! You truly are Dialed In For Success!

Thank you Josh for all your hard work as our Project Manager and Salesman and Level 2 Technician. You are a tremendous blessing, and we greatly appreciate all the contributions you make to help the P&T Team succeed. Enjoy your Call Of Duty Award and Bonus!

Our recent community service project was The Mustard Seed. We were supposed to help with lawn maintenance and yard work, but the weather didn’t cooperate —too much rain. They got us busy helping with different projects in the Gift Shop and throughout the campus. We also got to join in on Karaoke with the Seedsters. To end the day we had the privilege of singing Happy Birthday to one of the Seedsters who had a birthday that day.

The Mustard Seed is a Christ-Centered Community whose mission is to serve adults with developmental disabilities by providing a loving and protected Christian community, offering meaningful activities that allow them to fulfill the potential God has created within them.  Founded in 1981, the organization focuses on nurturing the spiritual, physical, emotional and intellectual aspects of each individual in a structured, nurturing environment.  

A big THANK YOU goes to all of our staff who worked together as a team to help The Mustard Seed and to be a blessing to the Seedsters and completing all the projects they gave us.

They say giving back to your community and supporting charities creates a powerful ripple effect, strengthening social connections and addressing critical local needs. Getting involved not only directly empowers vulnerable individuals, but it also physically and mentally boosts your own healthy by reducing stress and enhancing overall happiness.
