- ✅ Experience assisting with personal care and daily living activities
- ✅ Strong communication skills and professionalism

What if we stopped asking, “Why are they behaving this way?” and started asking, “What might they be experiencing?”
Imagine waking up in a room you do not recognize.
A person you believe is a stranger wants to help you undress.
The floor looks unsafe. The voices around you are moving too quickly. Someone gives you instructions, but the words disappear before you can follow them.
You ask for your mother, and someone tells you she has been gone for years. To everyone else, that is the truth. To you, it may feel like you have just lost her for the very first time.
You become frightened, frustrated, or angry.
They call it “difficult behavior.”
But what if it is fear?
What if it is confusion?
What if it is the only way you can say, “I don’t understand,” “I don’t feel safe,” or “Please slow down”?
A person living with dementia does not need us to argue them back into our reality. They need patience, reassurance, dignity, and someone willing to meet them where they are.
Slow down.
Use a gentle voice.
Offer one direction at a time.
Look beyond the behavior.
And remind them: “You are safe. I am here with you.”
At The Servant’s Hand, we do more than complete a visit. We walk beside each person—through every stage, every confusing moment, and every changing need.
Because even when memories fade, the feeling of being treated with kindness remains. 💙💛

💙 A Bittersweet Goodbye to One of Our Own 💙
Saturday we celebrated someone who has been so much more than a caregiver—she has been a compassionate heart, a trusted friend, and a blessing to so many lives.
Tammy, thank you for the love, dedication, and kindness you've shared with our clients, their families, and every member of The Servant's Hand family. Your servant's heart has made a lasting impact, and while we're sad to see you go, we are incredibly grateful for the time we've had with you.
You leave behind very big shoes to fill, and your presence will be deeply missed by all who have had the privilege of knowing and working alongside you.
