⚡️Power has been fully restored for all Riviera customers! 👏👏👏

We started this week celebrating & , and ended it reminded of how important our services and the professionals who provide them are to our community. It was all hands on deck around here keeping our crews fed and on the move. A HUGE thank you to every single employee who helped pull off an incredible restoration effort. The only thing left to restore around here is some well-deserved rest.

🌀 HURRICANE ISAIAS UPDATE | OCT. 10, 3 P.M.

These guys have put the pedal to the metal today, and restoration is still full steam ahead!

⚡ Since 10 a.m., our crews have restored power to over 2,700 additional meters, leaving only 845 meters without power.

We're now tackling more complex outages that require extensive repairs to restore power to smaller groups of customers. Our Riviera Utilities crews and additional contract lineworkers remain hard at work!

📞 Customers needing assistance can call 251-943-5001 and leave a voicemail. Our outage reporting lines remain open, and our Operations Center is staffed 24/7.

💛 Thank you for your continued patience and understanding! For those still without power, hang in there! Our crews are making progress and working hard to get your lights back on safely.

Our crews have made tremendous progress overnight, and we're not slowing down!

⚡ ELECTRIC RESTORATION

23,523 meters restored since the storm began!
More than 5,000 restored since midnight.
Approximately 4,105 meters remain without power.

More than 100 additional contract lineworkers are working alongside Riviera Utilities crews. Our teams will continue working around the clock until every customer who can safely receive power has been restored.

🔥 NATURAL GAS: Gulf Shores customers needing service restored and appliances relit must call 251-943-5001 and leave a message. Someone must be present when crews arrive.

⚠️ STORM DAMAGE: If your home sustained damage, please review our Storm Central FAQs for important restoration information. Continue to avoid downed power lines and give crews room to work safely.

We're so thankful to each Riviera employee for showing up for our community and putting in some long hours when our neighbors need us most! 🧡💛

🌀 HURRICANE ISAIAS UPDATE | 10 P.M.

Hurricane Isaias has passed through our area, leaving widespread damage from hours of tropical storm-force winds.

⚡ Electric System:
• 16,417 meters restored.
• Approximately 13K meters remain without power, but that is rapidly decreasing.

Some crews are already working where conditions allow. Following engineering assessments, widespread restoration efforts are expected to begin between midnight and 1 a.m. More than 100 additional lineworkers are on-site, with further mutual aid on standby if needed.

🔥 Natural Gas: Service has been restored to the affected system in Gulf Shores! Customers needing service restored and appliances relit must call 251-943-5001, leave a message, and be present when crews arrive.

As daylight approaches, we know many of you will be eager to assess damage. Please remain indoors, avoid unnecessary travel, and stay away from downed power lines, fallen trees, and debris. Give our crews and emergency responders the space they need to work safely. We cannot thank you all enough for your patience and understanding. Our teams are working around the clock to restore service to our communities. 💪

🌀 HURRICANE ISAIAS UPDATE | FRIDAY, 3 P.M.

As Hurricane Isaias crawls toward the coast, our crews are already responding to scattered outages across our service area. So far today, we've restored power to 864 meters across eight outages. Strong winds, vegetation, and heavy rainfall have been the primary causes of these outages. 🌧️

⚡ More than 100 contract lineworkers are on-site or arriving to assist our crews with additional mutual aid support from JEA on the way. We encourage everyone to stay weather-aware, avoid downed power lines, and prioritize their safety.

We’re ready, Baldwin County! Our crews have been preparing and are standing by to respond as long as conditions are safe. We also have mutual aid crews on the way to help with restoration efforts once the storm passes.

With Hurricane Isaias headed our way, it's time to talk about power restoration. 💡

After the storm passes, you might not see our crews in your neighborhood right away, but restoration work is already happening across the system. RU engineers will assess the damage, then we'll work through one step at a time, restoring substations and critical services first, then moving on to repairs that will restore power to as many customers as we can.

If electricity is essential to you or a loved one's medical care, now is the time to make a plan and prepare in case of an extended outage.

Our preparations are already underway — with extra crews on standby and equipment ready, we'll be ready to hit the ground running as soon as conditions are safe.
