The rain is here, Baldwin County! Our team is closely monitoring conditions and is prepared to respond if outages occur. As the weather moves through our area, stay weather-aware and follow guidance from local emergency officials.

In case of electric service interruptions, you've got a few options for reporting your outage:

📲Download the Riviera Utilities app on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and report your outage in the app.

💬 RU electric customers can report service interruptions through our Text Outage System. Text 251-943-4999 with “JOIN” to enroll, "OUT" to report an outage, and "STATUS" for an update.

🚨 RARE HIGH RISK FOR SIGNIFICANT, LIFE-THREATENING FLASH FLOODING TODAY (6/18/26) 🚨

A rare High Risk of excessive rainfall and flash flooding is in effect today for portions of Southwest Alabama, Southeast Mississippi, and the Western Florida Panhandle—including the Mobile and Pensacola metro areas.

These risks are reserved for extreme events capable of producing major to catastrophic flooding. Expect widespread road closures and flooding in areas that do not typically flood. Rivers, creeks, and streams may quickly rise out of their banks. This is a particularly dangerous and life-threatening setup that is evolving.

🚧 Never drive through flooded roadways. Over half of all flood fatalities happen in vehicles. Turn Around, Don't Drown! 🛑

📲 Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) will alert your phone if you are located in a considerable or catastrophic Flash Flood Warning. Make sure you have WEA enabled on your phone!

UPDATE 5:30 P.M.: Our customers on the Eastern Shore have been restored! Please stay weather aware as the weather rolls in tomorrow!

⛈️ Storms are rolling into our service area this afternoon. Some RU customers along the Eastern Shore are currently experiencing scattered service interruptions. Crews are on the way to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. 🧡💛

📣 Early tomorrow morning, more severe weather is expected, including heavy rainfall and strong winds. Please stay safe out there, avoid driving if you can, bring pets indoors, and keep an eye on the weather!
