As another summer comes to a close, I hope you've made time for both.

The meetings will always be there.
The emails will still be waiting.

The moments with family are the ones that become memories.
Never sacrifice what matters most while pursuing what's merely important.

As summer begins to wind down, I'm reminded that every season has something to teach us.

Some seasons stretch us.
Some restore us.
Some prepare us for what's next.

Whatever season you're in today, trust that God is still at work.
Often, the greatest growth is happening where we can't yet see it.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 reminds us: "He has made everything beautiful in its time."

One of the things becoming a grandparent continues to remind me is that someone is always watching.

They may not remember every word we say.

But they'll remember how we loved.
How we treated people.

I appreciate resources that challenge the way I think.

This article did exactly that.

It explores something called the Ladder of Inference and how quickly we can move from observing a situation to making assumptions about it, often without realizing it.

It's a great reminder that one of the most valuable leadership skills isn't having all the answers. It's slowing down long enough to question our own thinking.

Sometimes the way someone else explains a concept is all it takes to change the way we lead.

One of the things I admire most about children is their curiosity.

They notice things we walk right past. They ask questions we stopped asking years ago.

Great leaders do the same.

They stay curious.
They keep learning.
They never assume they've arrived.

Curiosity just might be one of the greatest leadership skills we can develop.
