In today’s fast paced business world, it is easy to get caught up in deadlines, meetings, notifications, and emails. But there is something to be said for what can be accomplished when you give yourself space.

Maybe it is a few moments each day, a block of time each week, or even a couple of staycation workdays each year. For me, it is getting out on the water on my sailboat, Delicate Balance. Whatever it looks like, it often leads to fewer distractions and clearer thinking.

Not every leadership moment requires action.
