BEFORE & AFTER-SCHOOL CARE SERVICES - MY JOURNEY
I was born, raised and educated in the Philippines. I am a mother of three: two daughters and a son. My husband and I worked full time in the same company. In 2013, we were given a relocation opportunity that brought our whole family to Malaysia. Working full time in demanding roles as relocatees meant we lived in different circumstances and
did not have the support that we had in the Philippines. We did not have any other family members or hired house helpers who help us watching our children on a regular basis. We relied on the bus service for our two older children’s trips to and from school. Our youngest had to go to a day care center, an unfamiliar place for a child who used to the comforts of home. After a long day at work, we usually had little time and energy for them – even if we knew that they were patiently waiting us to help with their homework or just being with them. This was our situation for nearly a year. In 2014, my husband accepted an offer by the company to work in Folsom. Our family moved once again to another country. It was there that I became a full time mom. Giving up my career was not easy at first but I hastily realized the fulfillment of having more quality time with my children. It also opened new doors for me as a person, including becoming more involved in the Folsom community as an active volunteer in kid’s programs. With my son starting school, I was able to gain new knowledge and skills through Child Development courses and get a job as a Flex Teacher in a private school in Folsom. I truly enjoy doing things that I love : being around and working with children. Being completely settled in Folsom, I now have a new door before me – offering childcare services and giving your kids the best care and attention. You will have peace of mind knowing that your kids are in good hands and are being looked after by someone who understands your concerns and apprehensions. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCES
