On Tuesday, August 9 a very important election in Walworth County will take place, voting for the next Sheriff of Walworth County.

I am proud of the positive campaign Dave GE**ER has run, even with a barrage of false information, half-truths and outright lies spread on social media and in person. Dave GE**ER and I are committed to serving the County a minimum of 4 years if elected.
Dave GE**ER is the only candidate with the Knowledge, Skills and Ability (KSA) to lead the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office. He has been promoted through the ranks, from Patrol, Detective, Lieutenant, Captain, and current Undersheriff. Dave GE**ER has worked with budgets, staffing, supervision, leadership, human resources, policy and procedures, and decision making. Dave has attended many leadership courses during his 27-year career. The FBI National Academy and Northwestern University of Staff & Command are at the top of the list. These collectively have prepared him to serve as your next Sheriff of Walworth County.

I have been chosen as Undersheriff if Dave is elected. In my 40+ years in Law Enforcement, I have been blessed to attend a vast amount of training preparing me assume the Undersheriff role. I attended the FBI National Academy, International Association of Chiefs of Police – Executive Development Course, Wisconsin State Patrol – Professional Supervisor Development Program. I currently lead the Geneva Lake Police Department as Commander/Chief. I also have executive leadership in the private sector, as Director of Security and Operations at Alpine Valley Music Theatre and running a private business. My leadership education and skills began in the United States Marine Corps being meritoriously promoted to Sergeant (E5), with a long list of leadership courses and training.

Please vote for Dave GE**ER for Sheriff on Tuesday, August 9, the ONLY candidate with the proven KSA’s required to lead the department in a new direction, new path as ONE TEAM, ONE MISSION.

The video released on 07-12-22 is disturbing to say the least.

I have trained thousands of Officers and First Responders on Active Murderer. Two priorities 1 - Stop the killing, 2 - Stop the dying.

DAVE GE**ER for Walworth County Sheriff

I have put great thought and consideration of who to support for the office of Sheriff for Walworth County. I have over 42 years of Law Enforcement experience, most of those years serving as an officer here in Walworth County.

I have been around the Sheriff’s Office all my life and worked there for almost 28 years. I worked for 3 different Sheriff’s in my career and have known many more over the years. I believe I know and understand what it takes to be the Sheriff.

I know both candidates and have respect for both. One has the experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in my opinion to lead the Sheriff’s Office, Dave Ge**er.

I have known Dave since he was an officer with East Troy Police Department before he started on the Sheriff’s Office. I watched him move up through the ranks and he became my boss. I look at the qualifications of the candidates and Dave has experience in law enforcement administration, budgeting, extensive leadership, and advanced management training that far exceed his opponent.

Having been around the department literally my entire life I have seen good times and bad times, success, and failures. No matter who the Sheriff has been, no Sheriff has made every employee happy. There has always been and will always be employees who are not happy. That is the reality. I know this firsthand. The biggest difference today is social media allows those unhappy to voice their disapproval on a platform seen or read by many, whereas in the past, few would have ever heard or known about.

Dave is a sincere man who has what it takes to lead the department into the future. Dave will take the department in a new direction, a new path that he envisions. A pathway of pride and commitment to excellence.

I humbly ask you to support Dave Ge**er for Sheriff of Walworth County.

St. Andrews Parish, Delavan, WI is a safer school today. They installed the WAVE Plus Instant Alert System.

With the push of one button, police notified via radio, PA sounds, LED's flash, alert texts and emails sent and a computer push is sent. Saving time, saves lives.

This post is done for education.

School safety plans are only as good a the working knowledge staff has of the plan. A plan on paper is nothing if it is not put into action.

The horrible murders in Texas are the tragic proof of having a paper plan and not a practiced plan it appears. Time will tell, but initial findings are troubling to me.

To all those Warriors I have had the honor to train in Acrive Murderer, you know you attack the threat and STOP the threat. Go to the sound of gunfire, it will lead your to the threat.

Yes I know we don't know all the details but what I do know is alarming on many levels.

Train hard for the day will come. Don't train until you get it right, train until you can't get it wrong.
