Leadership mentoring, barn design feedback, rhino feet, AZA inspection prep, behavior projects, and a few nice old elephant ladies getting foot checkups…it’s been a busy few weeks.

I’ve gone from Canada to Texas to Massachusetts and North Carolina before an unplanned detour home to Charleston to reset and smell the salt marshes…

On to Cincinnati next week… livin’ life off the beaten path with amazing people and incredible animals. Grateful for every minute.

Guess what? I would be just fine if I never had to set foot in an airport again…but the work and making change is more important than my discomfort. Always.

So I am heading out to another country to try to support an elephant and her team through all the hard parts of what we do.

We’re either in this together to make things better for everyone, or we are in this for ourselves and when we are gone, things are the same as we found them.

I know what side of that process I want to be on…

The lady that builds the scaffolding for the work MIC does turns 50 today! None of us could do what we do, let alone make it to the job sites on time safely, without Becky taking care of not just the business, but all of the people and animals we get to support!
