CRAZY productive ladies the last 2 weeks as temps warm up! 16 dozen unwashed fresh eggs READY for immediate sale.

NOTE: Most store bought eggs are 21-45 days old by the time you buy them. ALL commercially bought eggs, MUST be washed. Wash just b4 using.

My eggs are unwashed. Can be left out on the counter for 2-3 weeks. Great question. Refrigerated, they'll last 3 months +. Once fridged, must stay fridged.

Lots of activity with the Crazy Chick the last few weeks. Laying has REALLY improved. Consistently gathering 30+ eggs per day. YAY!! If you need eggs, please reach out. My prices have not changed - my eggs are often less expensive than stores. Our eggs are also fresher, better tasting because my chickens are also happier & healthier than most others. Try us out!

Lots of activity and changes here on the funny farm for the Crazy Chick in FLake (now Wyoming).

The ladies and 4 gentlemen have acclimated well over the Summer to their new environment. Rob is nearly done with the rehab to the original 10 year-old coop. New floor, window, much new lumber supports, re-tarring the roof and fresh coats of paint. Soon it will be moved into place and attached to the run. Then, we'll be updating the henhouse and expanding the existing run.

Speaking of the run, this last weekend, we were TRULY BLESSED with some amazing gifts. First, due to some tree removal & trimming at our new neighbor's home, after the arborists chipped a dumptruck full of the branches and brush and then DROVE it over to the run and gave it to me!! Then, 2 days later, my favorite college freshmen joined Robbie and I to donate 6 hours of their time and muscles to spread the 1.5 tons on woodchips thru the run. Our 70 poultry friends have a cushioned, warm, insulated, protective, highly absorbent and fresh smelling 6 inches of chips to walk and lay upon. They are SO happy!! Happy hens lay healthy eggs. And holy cannolli-- they are laying!!

LOTS of changes at Crazy Chick in the last few months! We moved to the other side of the freeway and are now in the lovely city of Wyoming on Hwy 8. We've also increased our population and added 30 new chicks in April! These young ladies have now begun to lay, meaning production has increased.

Due to the move and our larger volume, we're making necessary improvements to their home. Our original coop desperately needed an overhaul because of age and structural damage from the move, and the henhouse is showing some destruction, so the summer has been filled with repairs. New pictures to come soon.

Hello customer friends,
For 5 years, my prices have stayed constant, even though feed costs have fluctuated because I truly value what my ladies and their beautiful bounty of butt nuggets bring to all of you. I know how much you love them and it's been my joy to bring this ultra fresh quality to you at affordable prices compared to traditional grocery prices.

Sadly, due to rapidly rising corn and feed prices, I can no longer absorb these expenses as a micro producer, I was barely breaking even as it was, (and was often operating at a loss to sustain my hobby) but now have no choice but to increase Crazy Chick prices to cover these rising costs.

I was paying $190 for 6 weeks of feed and corn, now I'm paying nearly $240 and am not able to sustain my price point. From November 2022 through March 2023, I paid over $1150 to feed 60 chickens and recieved very few eggs as production decreases rapidly in the cold weather. For that reason, as of today, prices will rise to the following:

$5.50/ dozen
$7.50/ 18-pack
$15/ 3 dozen

If I deliver outside of my Forest Lake/ Hugo/ Lino Lakes range, I'll have to charge an additional fee as well to cover exorbitant fuel costs. (Inflation stinks!) Again, I'm sorry to do this, I'm hurting too.

As production rises and if feed prices de-escalate, I will happily lower prices to meet the market.

In spite of all this, I am thankful for the opportunity to reside where we do, to live with my ladies and have the best clients. Thank you for supporting my tiny business!
