Sparkle K. Adams, Candidate for Mayor of Forest Park, GA

My Message to You:

Hey there family!!! The previous election was to fill the unexpired term of the former mayor that resigned in October 2012. That's when I took over as Mayor Pro-Tem until I resigned in February to run for mayor in the special election that was held in March with a run-off in April. The term is up and a new election will be held in November for the full 4 year term. God clearly did not want me to only serve 7 months. He has prepared me to serve the full 4 years once elected in November 2013. And...Away we go!!! The campaign is in full effect. I have 2 opponents this time.

Forest Park needs A.I.R. Support. That's Accountability, Integrity, and Responsibility in its elected officials. These are the core values that I live by as a proven leader; that's INTEGRITY, backed by SERVICE!!! I humbly ask the voters of Forest Park, GA for their votes and prayers.

Well, the votes were cast and my opponent won the mayor's seat. We ran a great campaign! I would like to thank everyone for their support and encouragement. As we know, what's for me is for me and no one can take it away. God has great plans for me and I receive that. I am going to take a much needed vacation and come back to be prepared for the election in November. I really don't feel bad about losing because at the end of the day, I can say that we ran our race with dignity, respect, and honesty.

"I truly appreciate the amount of voters who have exercised their right to vote. Comparatively speaking, the amount of regi...stered voters pales in comparison to the amount that actually voted. I welcome and am humbled by the confidence my voters have in me and am looking forward to being able to continue to tell them why I am the best and most qualified candidate for the position of mayor of the great city of Forest Park, GA. I am going to show that the Forest Park residents are ready to showcase the greatness of our community. As now I am in a run-off election, I plan to continue to handle this campaign with integrity, honesty, and humility. I have always displayed the core value of service before self that I learned in the military. I plan to use the old "boots on the ground" method of getting my message to the citizens along with social and various forms of media. Forest Park is a big city. I may physically miss a few houses, but my heart and the love for my city will spread virally. Early voting will start on Monday, April 8th through Friday, April 12th at city hall, 745 Forest Parkway. Absentee ballot applications are being accepted now. Election day is Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Forest Park Recreation Center, 803 Forest Parkway. We still are collecting and need campaign donations. You can donate through fundly.com by clicking on the Donate Now link below, or mailing to: Committee to Elect Sparkle K. Adams, P. O. Box 2323, Forest Park, GA 30298-2323. Thanks so much for your encouragement, support, and prayers."See More
