I am SLACKING on daily posts for my preschoolers!

We are coming to an end on “All About Me”, and today we continued on the letters F & M (focusing on letter Ff).

We worked in our journals today practicing the letter F (there will be a video for this in the next post)

We also played with play-dough! Of course this was their favorite thing to do but it also helps with building those muscles in their tiny fingers in order to hold pencils.

Today we learned about Boats! Each type that could be found on lakes and the ocean, and how they moved.

We made our very own boats, which we used for our matching game of different ocean life! As the kiddos found a match they placed the cards in their boat to keep count. I then asked them if they were on a boat on the ocean what sea life would they see.

We sang to the song “Row your boat”, fast and then slow and they picked which one they liked better. I then asked them, if they were on a boat would you rather go fast or slow and they had to explain why.

We ended with sing our ABC’s and counting to 10!

Forgot to post yesterday….

But this month we are setting sail and plunging into the island life.

We are going island hopping and doing an island dance!

Island breezes, sailboats and sunshine here we come! ☀️🛥️⚓️

Yesterday we became Pirates! 🏴‍☠️ we made our very own spyglasses (that helped search out different objects with certain colors that the captain👩‍✈️ told us to find), we read our “Ahoy! ABC” book, working on our alphabet. As well as island hopping (plates with a letter on it) as we listened to “Smooth Sailing”. And we made our very own treasure map of an island that we discovered as we set sail to bury our most precious treasure!

It’s always a good day to get the kiddos outside to run off all the pent up energy 😂 some kiddos stayed inside to play as well 🛝😎☀️
