May 25th Market Recap

We sold 967 head of livestock this past week.

Weigh Cattle: 114 head
• Top Cow: $2.11/lb (quoted 3–6¢/lb higher)
• Top Bull: $2.40/lb (quoted 6–8¢/lb higher)

Replacement Cattle: 222 head
• Top Bull: $13,000
• Top Bred Cows: $5,300
• Top Cow/Calf Pairs: $6,700

Feeder Cattle: 631 head
• Compared to last week’s sale, feeder steers and heifers sold 5–10¢/lb lower.

We’ll be selling this outstanding Ultra Black bull tomorrow, and we’d like to thank Magnolia Creek Farms for the opportunity to market him through our stockyard.

This is MCB Gear Box 535M. He is a 23-month old registered Ultrablack bull. He stems from some of the best and most proven genetics the brangus breed has to offer. He is thick, heavy muscled and very gentle natured. He successfully had semen collected and frozen last week for future use in our herd. He is a rare find because he will improve carcass quality, eye appeal, disposition, maternal milk, easy fleshing ability and calves that excel in weight gain in any herd, and we say that with confidence as we have multiple generations of genetics working in our herd on both sides of his pedigree. He will be auctioned at Tadlock Stockyard in Forrest, Mississippi on Memorial Day, May 25, 2026.

• 185 Head of Grouped Calves
• 6 Donkeys

We are expecting around 1,200 head tomorrow.
