As most of you already know, over Memorial Day weekend, my cat Dion broke her arm.
We’ve had multiple vet visits since then, trying to figure out the best path forward. A couple days ago. after a follow-up appointment, I was told she will need orthopedic surgery in order for her arm to heal properly. There was also the option of amputation as a less expensive route—but Dion is only 2 years old, and I can’t make that choice for her when there is another option that allows her to fully recover.
Just a week after Dion’s injury, my other cat, Beebo had his own emergency urinary blockage and required urgent care. Between the two of them, I’ve now spent over $7,000 in emergency vet bills, and Dion’s surgery will be another $5,000.
If you’ve followed me for a while, you know these cats are a huge part of my life.
A few friends have generously offered to help, so I’ve put together a fundraiser for Dion’s surgery.
