I love this 15" Sweetgum Ball wreath with its crystal dazzlers and red and silver Christmas ribbon. The ribbon is easily removed, and the back of the straw wreath is covered in green felt.

Sweetgum ball creations continue to evolve based on the muse that whispers in my ear that day. Yesterday it involved the urge to add red, clear, and aqua Crystal Dazzlers, and the perfect red and white gingham ribbon, The back of the straw wreath is finished in green felt,

The picture doesn't do it justice, because it doesn't capture the "dazzle".

The wreath is slightly over 20" in diameter, and ready for a new home.

In last week's post I explained that the Sweetgum ball wreaths can be dressed up for the holidays or seasons, and wanted to share this example of my latest 20" wreath dressed up for Christmas. The garland is made with a red fleece remnant transformed into bows tied to bulky green yarn. The Garland is simply pinned to the wreath for easy removal after the holiday.

t's been a very long time since the last post on this page. I'm back in Texas, living in a 3rd floor apartment, which isn't conducive to painting furniture, and had to find something creative to do to keep me out of trouble, and these Sweetgum Ball Wreaths have kept me busy and at least kept me in touch with a wood by product. These thorny round seed pods are no longer yard waste, but a beautiful Primitive wreath that can be used year round

Each wreath is totally unique and can be dressed up or down with a change in ribbon or adding appropriate seasonal foliage, jelly beans or Spring flowers. I already have the vision of my red, white and blue 4th of July wreath.

I wanted to share them with all of you who supported Born Again Furniture for so many years, and give you an opportunity to WIN a FREE 20" wreath by simply sharing THIS POST on your timeline. The winner will be announced on BLACK FRIDAY

Sometime in the late '30's or 40's a proud new father or grandfather spent hours in his workshop crafting this baby wagon that strongly resembles a sleigh. With the exception of the rubber wrapped around the wheels, the entire piece, including the axle, are beautifully crafted wood.

Freshly painted, stenciled, and waxed, this two wheeled "sleigh" is ready to find a new home where its history and craftsmanship will appreciated and perhaps used for its original purpose...giving baby a ride.
