🔹 Pre-Adverse Action
Before making a final decision, you must:
• Provide the candidate with a copy of their background report
• Share a Summary of Rights under the FCRA
• Allow the candidate time to review and dispute any inaccuracies
🔹 Adverse Action
If you decide not to hire:
• Send a formal Adverse Action Notice
• Include the reporting agency’s information
• Clarify that the agency did not make the hiring decision
