Today marks 25 years.
If you’re old enough, you remember exactly where you were on the morning of September 11, 2001. The classroom. The radio in the truck. The TV at work everyone crowded around without saying a word.
We lost 2,977 people that day. In New York. At the Pentagon. And right up the road near Shanksville, PA, where the 40 passengers and crew of Flight 93, mostly strangers just hours before, decided together to fight back.
What so many of us remember most is what came after. Firefighters running toward the danger. Neighbors checking on neighbors. Flags on porches all across these hills. For a while, nothing divided us. We just took care of each other.
A whole generation has grown up only knowing that day through our stories. So tell them.
Today, hug your people, tell them you love them, thank a first responder, including the ones right here at home. And at 8:46 a.m., take a quiet moment of prayer to remember.
We will never forget. America-Forever 🇺🇸
