Big news for the film world! ๐ŸŽฌโœจ After years of speculation, the Sundance Film Festival is packing up its snow boots and heading to Boulder, Colorado, in 2027. The move marks the end of Sundanceโ€™s decades-long relationship with Park City, Utah, and the beginning of a new chapter in a city known for its arts, innovation, and breathtaking Rocky Mountain backdrop.

So why Boulder? The cityโ€™s mix of vibrant culture, university energy, and ample venues made it the top choice over Cincinnati and Park Cityโ€™s unified bid. Plus, with Pearl Street as the festivalโ€™s new central hub and screenings planned at CU Boulderโ€”Robert Redfordโ€™s alma materโ€”the spirit of independent film is sure to thrive.

With $34 million in incentives and a promise of a more accessible, immersive experience, Boulder is setting the stage for the next era of Sundance.
