Husk Power Systems We're the leader in providing clean energy services to rural communities in Asia and Africa.

Closing time was once determined by the sunset. Now, it is determined by ambition.

Meet Khalid Yusuf. In Kwa District, Khalid provides an essential service. He helps the community stay connected by charging mobile phones. For years, his business and the local economy reached a limit every evening. At 9.00 PM, the streets became dark, movement stopped, and doors were locked for safety.

“But now, thanks to the reliable electricity from Husk Power, we can keep our business running until 10.00 or 11.00 PM.”

The impact of rural electrification is greater than the lightbulb itself. It is about safety, growth, and the removal of worry. Entire communities move without fear after dark. Local business owners like Khalid are increasing their daily earnings. There is a new sense of security that comes with dependable power infrastructure.

At Husk Power, we are not just installing grids. We are making the day longer for thousands of people with goals. When the lights stay on, the opportunities remain available.

Your mind carries a lot. This Mental Health Awareness Week, remember that checking in with yourself is not a weakness but a maintenance culture of successful people.

Rest when you need to. Talk when it feels heavy. Ask for help before you hit empty.

Happy Mental Health Awareness Week.

What does our “local industrial revolution in Nigeria” look like?

▪️ It looks like rice mills in Nasarawa running 24/7 on solar.

▪️ It looks like cold storage facilities that allow fishermen to trade fairly instead of discarding their catch.

▪️ It looks like 300+ jobs with 90% of which are rooted in the rural communities we serve.

Our Co-Founder and CEO Manoj Sinha recently sat down with Okechukwu Nnodim of on the sidelines of the World Bank/IMF Spring Meetings to discuss the future of rural electrification in Nigeria.

The reality on the ground is shifting. As diesel prices climb, renewable solutions are now approximately 70% cheaper than diesel alternatives. But as Manoj shared, “That is only half the story.”

With 90 million Nigerians still without grid access, our isolated mini-grids are providing a pay-as-you-go lifeline, powered by solar, battery storage, and smart prepaid systems.

The goal? To deploy 1GW of renewable energy assets across Nigeria by 2030.

As for the “Solar vs. Grid” debate? Manoj is clear: “We are complementing, not competing with the grid.”

Our greatest source of energy isn’t just the sun; it is our people. On this Labor Day, we celebrate the hands and hearts behind the renewable revolution. At Husk Power, our mission to electrify underserved and unserved communities wouldn’t be possible without the relentless dedication of our team.

To everyone helping us build a cleaner, brighter future: Thank you for your grit, your passion, and your power.

Happy Labor Day!

The sound of progress should not be deafening.

In many rural African and Indian economies, diesel generators are the default. We often talk about their high costs and carbon emissions, but there is a silent crisis we frequently overlook. This is noise pollution.

Operating at 70-85 dB, most generators exceed safe auditory limits. At these levels, they pose a risk of permanent hearing damage for the communities they serve.

On , we are highlighting a cleaner, quieter path forward. By deploying distributed solar and battery storage, Husk is:

▪️ Eliminating noise pollution for businesses and households.
▪️ Slashing CO2 emissions to meet global climate goals.
▪️ Providing price stability away from volatile fossil fuels.

Reliable power should empower a community, not harm its health. Let us silence the scourge of diesel.

“We don’t inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.”

This timeless reminder from David Brower sits at the heart of everything we build. At Husk, our daily operations are defined by the complex energy needs of a growing global community. Yet, today, we pause to acknowledge the foundation of that work: the planet that sustains us all.

Earth Day is more than a date on the calendar; it is a mandate. We aren’t just observers of the energy transition; we are its architects. By deploying AI-optimized mini-grids across the Global South, we are proving that economic growth and environmental stewardship are not mutually exclusive. We are ensuring that as the world scales, it scales sustainably.

Today, we celebrate our progress and reaffirm our commitment to the planet we call home.

Happy World Earth Day.

Capital is the final frontier for universal electrification.

“The roadmap to electrifying 300 million people by 2030 rests on three pillars: technology, policy, and capital. We have already secured the first two; the final frontier is mobilizing the investment necessary to bridge the gap.”

During the recently concluded Semafor World Economy 2026 summit, our CEO and Co-Founder, Manoj Sinha, joined Bob Mumgaard, CEO of Commonwealth Fusion Systems, and Tim McDonnell, SEMAFOR Energy Editor, to discuss the critical levers of the global economy.

While inviting investors to prioritize the Global South, Manoj highlighted that India alone requires $2.2 trillion for power over the next 20 years, with Africa facing a similar demand. He noted that with the forward-looking energy policies already active in both markets, the sector offers a viable path to achieving 18-20% ROI for investors.

Beyond simply delivering green electrons, Husk is committed to building the industrial ecosystems necessary for emerging economies to thrive. The policy frameworks are established and the technology is proven; it is now time for global capital to meet the mission.

Our mission to deliver clean energy to unserved and underserved communities is, at its core, a mission powered by people.

Scaling a global clean energy company requires more than just technology; it requires a high-impact culture and a leadership strategy that thrives in the world’s most remote markets.

In Jaipur, our Chief People Officer, Preeti Ahuja, will be sharing her expertise at the Indian Leadership Summit & Awards 2026 organised by . She will explore how to build resilient teams and how the global workforce can be transformed for the future of work.

How can we collectively strengthen the private sector’s ability to deliver on the promise of universal energy access?

At the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) Energy Access Investment Forum (EAIF) 2026 in Nairobi, our Director of Quality Management, Grace Perkins, will join industry leaders to discuss the rigorous ex*****on required to turn a pipeline into a high-performing, bankable portfolio.

Drawing on our journey as the world’s largest private-sector operator of mini-grids, Grace will identify the operational and institutional constraints that often prevent developers from scaling.

While regulatory reforms lay the groundwork, the “binding constraint” has shifted to ex*****on capacity. During Session 1 (Wednesday, April 22), Grace will share how institutionalizing quality, governance, and technical readiness can accelerate growth and mobilize private capital under .

At Husk, we do not just build grids; we build sustainable, scalable systems.
