We had such a wonderful time celebrating National Senior Health & Fitness Day yesterday!
The day was all about movement, connection, and overall wellness—inside and out. Outdoors, residents enjoyed a full lineup of yard games including ladder ball, co****le, horseshoes, pickleball, and a variety of target-tossing games that brought out everyone’s playful competitive side. A walking path was also available for those who preferred a steady stroll and a chance to enjoy fresh air and conversation.
To keep energy levels up, we offered a selection of nutritious snacks and refreshing beverages for participants to enjoy.
Inside, the focus shifted to brain health and mindful relaxation with puzzles, coloring sheets, and crossword challenges—perfect for keeping minds active while enjoying a slower pace.It was a great reminder that wellness comes in many forms: physical activity, mental engagement, good nutrition, and community connection all working together.
