It’s our last full day of Chicks Knit in the Sticks Retreat #2! 🧶
These ladies have been busy working on their vests, and everyone has officially completed their steeking! Yes, we actually cut our knitting! ✂️
We’ve also learned that a knitting retreat is apparently the perfect place to learn how to steal—yarn and project bags, that is! Our Dirty Santa-style swap brought out a little friendly competition and a whole lot of laughs.
In between all the knitting, learning, food, laughter, and Gilmore Girls, we’ve also had some pretty great Estes Park entertainment watching the elk and their young ones play right outside.
It’s hard to believe we’re already down to our last full day. There’s nothing quite like a few days surrounded by beautiful mountains, good friends, and a whole lot of knitting. ❤️

What a fun few days we’ve had in Estes Park! We’ve been knitting vests, learning new skills, eating lots of yummy food, enjoying a few drinks, swapping (and stealing!) yarn, watching Gilmore Girls, and doing plenty of laughing along the way.
One of my favorite parts of these retreats is seeing old friends reconnect and new friendships form around the knitting table.
We still have a little more time together tomorrow morning, and then it’ll be time to welcome the crew for Chicks Knit in the Sticks Retreat #2!
