"What is a 1099 worker?"

1099 Worker Defined:
A 1099 worker is one that is not considered an “employee.” Rather, this type of worker is usually referred to as a freelancer, independent contractor or other self-employed worker that completes particular jobs or assignments.

Since they’re not deemed employees, you don’t pay them wages or a salary. Instead, you pay the 1099 worker according to the agreement you strike with them. In addition, you don’t have to worry about withholding income taxes, withholding and paying Social Security and Medicare taxes, or paying unemployment taxes.

My name is Melissa Holmes, born and raised in Northern NY.
I'm a jack of all trades and enjoy intellectual challenges.

My skills cover a wide range of duties such as basic computer assistance, market research & analysis, business plan development & creation, social media marketing management, and website design, creation, and maintenance.

I received my BS in Marketing at SUNY Plattsburgh in 2004 and recently earned a Data Science with SQL & Tableau certificate through Cornell University.

I can perform a variety of duties for a wide variety of clients, even individuals who might be struggling with keeping on top of the online world we live in now.

Due to the very personalized & intuitive nature of my services, which I can tailor to best fit your specific circumstances, I can only accept a certain amount of clients at any one time.
