📱 5G or 5 GIG? They’re NOT the same thing!

We get this question a lot, so let’s clear it up. 👇

📶 5G = A Mobile Network
5G is the latest generation of cellular technology used by mobile carriers. It connects your cell phone and other wireless devices to the internet through nearby cellular towers.

🚀 5 GIG = An Internet Speed
5 Gig means an internet plan with speeds up to 5 gigabits per second (5,000 Mbps). It’s delivered through a fiber-optic connection and is designed to provide incredibly fast internet throughout your home or business.

Think of it this way:

📱 5G = How your phone connects to a cellular network
🏠 5 Gig = How fast your fiber internet connection can be

And yes… you can have 5G on your phone AND 5 Gig fiber internet at home! 😎

So when you see 5G, don’t confuse it with 5GIG. One is a cellular technology. The other is an internet speed.

A fast internet connection is great—but keeping your accounts safe starts with strong passwords.
Here are a few easy ways to level up your password game:
✅ Make it long. Aim for 12+ characters when possible.
✅ Mix it up. Use a combination of uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols.
✅ Don’t reuse passwords. One compromised password shouldn’t unlock everything you own.
✅ Skip the obvious. Names, birthdays, pets and “Password123” are easy to guess.
✅ Use a password manager. It can create and securely store unique passwords for you.
✅ Turn on multi-factor authentication (MFA). Even if someone gets your password, MFA adds another layer of protection.
💡 Pro tip: Consider using a passphrase made up of several unrelated words. They're easier to remember and can be much harder to crack.

Your internet connects you to the world. A strong password helps keep the wrong people out.
🧡 Stay connected. Stay smart. Stay secure.
