Been having fun getting back into restoration work on some old family footage lately. This tape's from 2008, honestly not even sure if it was originally Hi8 or MiniDV, but it got digitized to DVD pretty early on, so there wasn't much time for it to degrade before it was preserved. Ran it through a de-interlacing pass, some upscaling and cleanup, and a color grade. Really happy with how much of the original moment came through. Left is the original, right is the restored.

I just finished rebuilding the Hamlow Media website from the ground up and I want real people using it so I can work out the kinks. If you’ve been thinking about getting your tapes, film, or photos digitized, you should check it out. I’m running a deal for 20% off (up to $20) for the first 5 people who reach out through the new site! Just mention the promo when you contact me. This offer runs through October 10th.
