The Adisa-Farrar are on a group text right now talking about our Friday night plans. Ie. What’s good to watch? Recommended bottles of wine. Sharing playlist. The three of us communicate daily but we see each other all together far less. Last time was during this trip to LA in August. But on National Sibling Day we wanted to welcome our brother, Jawara to the gram! He is not a social media person but he got on this week so show him some love people!

We know it's a stressful and anxious time for many of us. We work for ourselves so we understand how uncertain this time is for all of us. Those of us whose work involves travel or gathering in large groups. And for those of us who love to travel and go to concerts. We all have to stay inside so that we can get this under control sooner rather than later. It's time for us to give the earth, our environment, a break. It's a time for all of us to slow down. During this time is doing at home workouts and working on voice over projects. While is tending to her plants and working on making her trainings digitally accessible. It's the birthday of one half of twoglobal: ! We're in Jamaica for 🇯🇲 We are thrilled to be celebrating all her successes, beauty, travels, and the joy she brings to the world. We're spending a few days in our favorite parish - Portland - with some friends, drinks and the beach! Let's all wish Shola the happiest of birthdays and the best wishes for this new year❤️

Greetings from Jamaica & Happy 2020! 🇯🇲

We are the Adisa-Farrar Sisters. We are Jamericans born in Oakland, California to a Jamaican Mother (pictured in the third photo) and an American Father.

Shola is a Singer and Actress. She is proud to have lived in France for 8 years and traveled to every region in Africa, totaling 11 countries, 8 of which she performed in.

Teju is a Geographer and Writer who has traveled to 25 countries in Europe with a focus on the Black experience there.

Together, we have traveled to over 70 countries on 5 continents and are always happy to be in our second home of Jamaica, where we come at least twice a year. As Black women who travel for our careers, and to visit friends and family, it is important for us to share our experiences. We encourage people to realize having the opportunity to travel outside of one’s home country is a privilege and it also broadens your perspective of the 🌍!

This year, we plan to explore more of Asia. What about you?

The Adisa-Farrar Sisters are in Botswana! We are so grateful to U.S. Embassy Gaborone, Botswana and Africa Regional Services for inviting us to perform and facilitate workshops at this year’s Maun International Arts Festival. While this is the second time Shola is performing at this festival, it's the first time for Teju and our first time performing together! Having the opportunity to combine our music and poetry, as well as connect with local artists and writers is truly special ❤🇧🇼

Flashback to more than a week ago celebrating Teju's birthday in Oakland, we were all smiles! This weekend is being fabulous and enjoying herself in Brooklyn🙌🏾 Meanwhile in California is staying inside to develop a intersectional justice training. What a varied life! Happy Sunday from the Adisa-Farrar Sisters❤️

We had a JAMming good time last weekend in the Santa Cruz area with our folks, jam tasting at Swanton (Swipe for more 🍓), learning to throw darts at a local dive bar and playing a huge game of Jenga.
