Greetings, I am Don Patterson, Development Manager for the Historic Jacksonville Armory - MADE at the Armory. I am pleased to share that we are making significant strides towards transforming a renovated performance space to reality.

Repurpose the Armory as a mixed commercial use and community space that includes co-working, art studios, galleries, a food hall, light industrial maker’s space, a microbrewery, a performance stage and more, with the goal of facilitating performance art, a variety on industry conferences and networking events, targeting Jacksonville creatives and entrepreneurs. This week we begin moving the rezoning process forward. We hope to achieve this major milestone before the end of this month.

MADE at the Armory is the restoration of an abandoned historic Jacksonville landmark establishing a multi-layered concept and creating a “hub/destination” bringing arts, entertainment, entrepreneurship, education, and makers all under a single roof.

Grateful for a committed staff at the City of Jacksonville Dept. Economic Development, support of local artists, and the team assembled to sprint through the finish line.

REVA Development plans to convert the structure into a cultural arts facility with a neighboring apartment building.

This is not news, but I would like to restate the importance of voting. This is the loss of funding from the DOS DCA. One of our overall statewide goals is to RESTORE Florida's appropriation investments in 2019 to fully fund the Florida Department of State Division of Cultural Affairs (DCA) matching-grants.
