Thank you to the City of Tamarac, FL’s Mayor, Michelle Gomez and the Commission for proclaiming February 25, 2026 as “Dr. Von Delaney Mizell Day” in the City of Tamarac.
I was honored Mayor Gomez chose me to receive the award and grateful to be accompanied by my parents.

Whew! 😅 This entire weekend has been A WEEKEND and a time was had!

I served with my sorority and Chapter, the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. - Upsilon Xi Omega Chapter, and although it consisted of A LOT of business, it was also filled with some good laughs 😆 and new experiences.💡

📆 Last night, I attended the Historic Sistrunk Festival, where I got to meet new people, see so many faces I had not seen in a while, and spend some time with some dear ones whom I always enjoy seeing. But, I also sadly missed some of my faves. 😩

SN: I didn’t know Nappy Roots had so many songs I knew that I didn’t initially remember. 💫

I’s tie-ddddd yall. 😴 Have a productive and blessed week ahead. 🙏🏽
