The Westport 112: Three Generations of an American Icon
No production yacht over 100 feet has matched the success of the Westport 112. Built entirely in the U.S. and introduced in the mid-1990s, it remained a cornerstone of the Westport lineup for nearly three decades with more than 70 hulls launched.
Westport refined the platform across three generations:
Generation I (1994 to early 2000s)
Jack Sarin naval architecture and Gregory C. Marshall design established the DNA: shallow draft hull, raised pilothouse, country kitchen, full beam master and salon, and solid Pacific Northwest craftsmanship.
Generation II (from 2002)
Cleaner contemporary styling with practical upgrades that kept the proven hull competitive.
Generation III (late 2010s)
Expanded glass, modernized lines, wake adapted running gear, and enhanced stabilization while retaining the core American platform.
When emissions rules finally reached the limits of the original design, Westport answered with the all new Westport 117. Only five feet longer, it offers five guest staterooms with a main deck master, larger glass, expanded exterior spaces, a stern beach club, and the same efficient performance on a completely new hull.
Nearly 30 years later, the 112 remains one of the most successful large production motor yachts ever built in the United States.
