Some journeys come full circle in ways you don’t expect. We met a guy today who was a ski-instructor support the military in Germany.
Garmisch, Germany wasn’t just another duty station — it was something special. A military-run ski resort tucked in the mountains, where service met a kind of peace you don’t usually get in uniform.
For Fran, this was home. Where her story began.
For me, it became the place I got to bring her back to — not just as a visitor, but as someone who could stand beside her and say, we made it back.
Different season, same mountains… but this time with purpose, perspective, and gratitude.
It wasn’t just about skiing or the views — it was about rediscovering where it all started and realizing how far life had taken us.
