I just want to put something out there, especially with the holidays coming up. A lot of people don’t realize how much self-employed folks depend on people keeping their appointments. When you run your own business, there’s no sick pay, no vacation pay, no “PTO” to fall back on. If we’re not working, we’re not getting paid — plain and simple.

So when someone cancels last minute, it’s not just an empty spot on the calendar. It’s income that’s gone for good. We can’t refill that time with zero notice, and it adds up fast — especially this time of year when every dollar counts and schedules are already tight.

This isn’t meant to guilt anyone. Life happens, emergencies come up, kids get sick — we get that. All we ask is: if you know you can’t make your appointment, please let us know as soon as you can. It makes a huge difference. Your support, your reliability, and your understanding truly keep small businesses going more than most people realize.

Job Title: Professional House Cleaner

Location: We are seeking cleaners within all areas of Morgan County. You must have reliable transportation to the office only, transportation is provided to job sites.

Job Description: General house cleaning, tidying, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning windows, kitchen, bathrooms, etc.

Requirements: Would like someone with a minimum of 1 year previous experience with another house cleaning/maid company to apply for this job, but not required. You must be able to be a self starter, follow directions, pay attention to detail, be responsible and reliable. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Must be at least 18 years old.

Hours : We clean houses M-F Job hours vary from 7:00am - 3:00pm, but most days we are done by 1:30 just depending on the jobs that are scheduled for that day. This job is very part time and right now I’m only looking for someone 2 days per week but also flexibility to fill in extra days if someone is sick.

Compensation and benefits: Compensation is discussed at interview.

HELP WANTED:
Looking for part time help 2-3 days per week, for a well established cleaning company, residential and commercial. Hours 7:30 am-approximately 3:00 pm on varying days per week, and also for sick/vacation coverage. Please read the following before setting up an interview. Signs this job is NOT for you:
1. You tend to schedule appointments only on days you are scheduled to work
2. If you tend to have “emergency” situations 4 days a week every week.
3. If you, your children, your spouse, sister or 3rd cousin on your uncle Fred’s side is sick 4 days a week every week and you have to stay home with them.
4. You do not have somewhat of a flexible schedule to cover for someone out sick or gone for other reasons.
5. You do not have reliable transportation or arrangements to get to work.
6. You do not have reliable daycare for your child, dog, hamster, grandma, grandpa or uncle Fred
7. You have the immune system of Casper the ghost”non-existent”
8. You have the eye roll and argumentative nature of a teenager who was just told to clean their room.

Hours: hours vary but are based on a M-F, 7:00am - 3:00pm schedule. Pay is on a per house basis. Will be discussed at interview. Job will start as a 2-3 day position and on an as needed basis until around summer. Start times can be adjusted if you have kids in school.
