MORGANS

The Morgan silver dollar is arguably the most collected series of American coins. First issued in 1878 till 1904, then after a 17-year hiatus, was once again struck only in 1921, millions were minted, and they are reasonably easy to find in a nice Mint State condition. We offer a slew of Morgan dollars from the 4 prominent grading services in our April 27th auction. There is also a selection of raw Morgans as well. These widely collected dollars start at Lot #1200.

MORGAN RATTLERS

The first generation of holders that PCGS issued are commonly referred to as “rattlers”, as the coins tend to rattle inside when the encapsulation is shaken. Collectors seek out these older green label holders, and they are getting scarcer to find. We have some Morgans, dated 1879-S and 1881-S that are rattlers in our November 18th Auction, listed as Lot and 1214p.
