As all of you have noticed for about the last 6 months I decided to take a break on doing the security classes. The reason behind it is very simple with the courses being given online it has become too much of a hassle to try to book people for a 42 hour unarmed class or a 28-hour arm class and have them show up for their class or call and cancel it the last minute because they decided to book their classes online. When the Department of Agriculture division of Licensing started this online courses approximately 5 years ago my thoughts were it's not going to work. I have seen and talked to many people with the Department of AG in regards to the classes being given online and have been told that they are reviewing the classes online and thinking about either canceling them and making everybody go back to a classroom setting or the department of AG division of Licensing is going to set the curriculum for these courses including coming up with their own program. The biggest complaint about taking the classes online has been people doing the courses through Zoom and sitting there in their pajamas laying in bed and many other things which I won't mention which the state is not happy with.

I have decided that I'm going to start booking classes again for the 42 hour unarmed security class the 28-hour armed security class and the 4-Hour armed re-qualification course next month beginning May 1st. I will be giving these classes only on the weekends it will be Saturday and Sunday and the class hours will be long we will be doing a minimum of 12 hour days each day which means that it'll take two weekends to do the 42 hour unarmed class and we are going to do the 28-hour arm class in one weekend so it'll be 2 14 hour days. The course prices are still going to remain the same for the 42 hour D class your costs will be $250 payable and cash only it will be mandatory that you intend both weekend classes with the dates that are set. The 28 hour class will be given on a Saturday and Sunday 14 hours each day cost of that class will be $350 for the course plus your ammunition which you will need 150 rounds of ammo and if you do not have a firearm your rental on the firearm and the proper equipment will be $50.

Anybody wishing to book these classes you may contact me now so that we can get them going you will need to come in and register a minimum 1 week prior to the date of the class you will have paperwork to do to sign up for the class and acknowledgment form so that you know what is going to be expected from you and what the state requires when you attend the class and you will need to have your payment in hand on the day that you set your appointment to come in to get registered for class and your payment will be due in cash only.

We will also be doing the concealed weapon or Fi****ms courses which you will need to be pre-registered and paid for that is a four to five hour class and the cost of that course is $150.

The 4-Hour G license re-qualification which you have to do yearly will cost $250 plus your ammo and if you need to rent a firearm that'll be an additional $50 you will also need to come in prior to the class and get registered and paid and again these courses are all cash only.

I will also be doing the leosa course for retired law enforcement which is also known as the HR 218 the cost of that course is $100 that course will be given on the last Sunday of every month from 9:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. and you will need to be registered and paid a minimum one week prior to that course.

Please remember all of the above courses require that you are pre-registered and prepaid prior to the date of the class there will be no exceptions you will have to set an appointment with me to come in and get registered and paid because I am not in the office on a daily basis. I will be happy to accommodate you the best that I can to get you registered for any and all classes so that you can get to work as quickly as possible if you're taking the security classes and if you're applying for the concealed weapon or Fi****ms course we will get that course done as quickly as possible also so that you can submit your application to the Department of AG division of Licensing. The leosa course known as the HR 218 your card certification will be given to you on the day that you attend the class at the range that card will be issued on the spot so there will be no time frame that you have to wait to receive that card.

I would like to thank everyone for their patients in the last 6 months with us not booking any classes. I will be doing my best to get everyone that qualifies to get certified as an unarmed or an armed security guard completed on their class as quickly as possible. Please remember we do have a minimum amount of students for the security class and if we do not reach that minimum amount of students that course date can be changed at our discretion at any time so please bear with us.
