We were proud to be a sponsor for the 2026 Cattle Baron's Ball of Lee County.

This year, the event raised over $650,000 for local cancer patients.

Vice President Wesley Kayne and his wife Kim, Director of Engineering Jeff Wasko and his wife Jessica, and Director of Land Development Services Steve Coleman and his wife Christine represented BAI at the event.

Amy Barraco, wife of company president Carl Barraco Jr., and Jessica Wasko served on the event planning committee.

BAI presented the evening's Mission Moment, "Charting a Course for Hope." Guests purchased a piece of sea glass for $20 and wrote on it the name of someone whose cancer journey had touched their life, whether that person is still fighting or is now carried in memory. Each piece was then tied into the rigging of a handcrafted driftwood sailboat, so that every name on board helped guide the vessel's course. Jeff and Jessica built the boats by hand and wrapped all 145 pieces of sea glass before the doors opened. By the end of the night, the nets held 145 names.

One Step Closer to a Safe Home 🔨

This morning, we met with City of Cape Coral Government and community leaders to walk through the Johnson family’s unique situation and game plan how we can work together to give a veteran and his wife safe access to their home.

With repairs involving both City and private property, partnership is a big piece of making this happen. The City is preparing to address the roadway and their portion of the driveway, while Builders Care will work alongside them to rebuild the remaining portion for the Johnson family.

We are thankful to everyone who has brought this need to our attention and to those who are willing to collaborate together to make an impactful difference.
