⚓ During WWII, Fort Pierce was home to the Naval Amphibious Training Base, where the first Underwater Demolition Teams trained - what later became today’s Navy SEALs. Our little city played a BIG role in U.S. military history.

The Original “Fort” of Fort Pierce

🏰 Fort Pierce was named after Lt. Col. Benjamin Pierce (brother of President Franklin Pierce). The fort was built in 1838 during the Seminole War but was abandoned just a few years later. No trace of the original structure remains today.

Did you know Fort Pierce is one of Florida’s oldest communities, nicknamed the “Sunrise City”? 🌅 From the days of the early settlers and the fishing village roots 🎣, to the grand opening of the Sunrise Theatre in 1923 🎭, our city is full of stories worth remembering.

What a day! ☀️

Our Tides, Tunes & Good Times Social at Little Jim’s may have had a small turnout, but it was packed with laughs, sunshine, and memories. From bridge jumping 💦 to productive conversations, the vibe was nothing short of amazing.

Sometimes the smaller the group, the bigger the fun and this crew proved it. 🎶🍹
