This support post was in direct contact with the soil and is showing signs of rot/moisture intrusion. This can lead to movement and structural safety concerns.

Deck issues are one of the more common things we find during inspections - and they’re not always obvious at first glance.

Before hosting that next BBQ, it’s worth making sure everything underneath is properly supported and built to last.
