Securemedy Incorporated is seeking an experienced and dependable Shift Supervisor to lead daily security operations at a prestigious private school in Washington, DC - $27/hr.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support security officers throughout assigned shifts.
Ensure officers comply with company policies, site procedures, and performance standards.
Maintain a safe and secure campus for students, staff, visitors, and school property.
Conduct routine post inspections and monitor officer performance, attendance, and professionalism.
Coordinate daily staffing schedules, post assignments, and shift coverage.
Oversee access control procedures, including monitoring entrances, exits, and visitor management.
Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns while ensuring appropriate action is taken.
Investigate incidents and complete accurate, timely reports.
Serve as the primary point of contact between school administration, security personnel, and emergency responders.
Coach, mentor, and train security officers to promote high performance and accountability.
Assist with conflict resolution and de-escalate disruptive situations using sound judgment.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and security protocols.
Support school arrival and dismissal procedures, special events, and other campus activities as needed.
Qualifications
Active Washington, DC Special Police Officer (SPO) License (Required)
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Must be at least 21 years of age
Previous supervisory experience in security, military, law enforcement, or a related field preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of security operations, access control, emergency response, and incident management
Excellent report writing, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to interact professionally with students, faculty, staff, visitors, and clients
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical examination
CPR/AED Certification preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Must remain alert, responsive, and adaptable throughout the workday
