Not all magnet wire is the same, and the differences go well beyond size.

Magnet wire can be made with copper or aluminum conductors and formed into round, square, or shaped profiles. From there, the insulation system is selected based on the demands of the application. That can include Nomex® wrapped constructions and various polymer coatings, each offering different properties and thermal ratings.

Those choices matter when magnet wire becomes part of equipment like transformers and electric motors, where electrical, thermal, and mechanical demands can vary significantly.

What does a sheet of electrical insulation paper become?

Look around, and you’ll find the answer in more places than you might expect. When it comes to electrical applications, not all tapes are created equal. The backing, adhesive, coating, and chemical makeup of a tape all play a role in determining where and how it performs best.

A little ice cream, a few hot dogs, and a great reason to come together!
 
Yesterday, the Essex Brownell and Essex Solutions teams enjoyed lunch together, courtesy of the Essex Employee Club. Along with sharing some good food and time with coworkers, employees helped fill school supply bags that will be donated to the local food pantry.
 
It was a simple way to bring our teams together while supporting families in our community as a new school year begins.
 
Thank you to the Essex Employee Club and everyone who pitched in to make the day a success!

Our interns have worked hard all summer, so we wanted to send them off with a little Bob Ross style fun with Painting with a Twist.

Throughout the summer, they’ve jumped into new experiences, taken on challenges, shared fresh ideas, and made a real impact on our team. We’re incredibly grateful for the dedication and enthusiasm they brought with them each day.

While we’re excited to see where they go next, we’re definitely going to miss having them around. Thank you to Aaliyah, Gabby, Lauren, an Nicole for a fantastic summer. We hope you leave with new skills and the confidence to take on whatever comes next!
