It’s October, which means grown women everywhere are putting googly eyes on pumpkins and hanging silly ghosts in their front windows... and they’re loving it!

So why do we only give ourselves permission to have fun once a year?

A few weeks ago, I opened up my home to eight women for the very first Aligned Sanctuary Retreat.

I’ll be honest, I was nervous. This is my personal space, and I’ve never done anything like this here before. But by the end of the first night, it felt like we’ve known each other for years. There were tears, a lot of laughing, and some great conversations around the fire pit.

At 5:15, all eight women were still here. 😍

That was my confirmation. Our first Aligned Sanctuary retreat gave these women something they rarely get... time to slow down and actually feel at home.

Gathering women together in a beautiful space, slowing down, having conversations, laughing until your stomach hurts, learning, sharing, and simply being together feels so good.

I spent so much time preparing for this retreat. Nonstop thinking about the details, the experience, the space, the food, and the little surprises (yes, I felt like Oprah at times).

But now that it’s over, I think the thing I’m taking in most is this:

The magic was in the amazing people. The love they brought was incredible.

I’m feeling so grateful this morning. 🥹😍😀

Here’s to carrying a little of that retreat energy into ordinary Tuesday mornings.
