I persuade others on the team by careful attention to detail, and through facts, data, and logic, not emotion. I appreciate security in projects, systems, and the job culture. Much of that security may be achieved by maintaining high standards of operational quality. I make decisions after careful consideration of all variables and inputs. This process may take a bit more time in the view of some
others on the team, but the decision will be a quality outcome. I set high-performance standards for myself and others and expect all to meet those standards. I tend to judge others by objective standards and want to personally be evaluated by specific criteria, preferably in writing. I have a high sense of "neatness" in the organizational workspace and at home. Everything in its place is preferred over the clutter of some other style preferences. I am highly conscientious and will provide careful follow-through in working on detailed projects and complex assignments. I tend to be restrained and reticent in showing emotions, and may not be extremely verbal at a team or organizational meeting, unless asked for input or if the topic is of high importance to me. Others on the team may seek me out to answer a detailed question for them. (The word about my high competence and base of knowledge gets around the organization quickly.) I tend to bog down in detail during some decision-making processes. The reason is that I may keep the data-gate open too long: There may be more information forthcoming that might impact the direction of the decision. I am likely to appreciate an occasional word of reassurance from a manager, as long as it is sincere input. I evaluate others by their own use of procedures, standards, and quality action. I have an extremely high sense of quality, standards, and detail orientation in all I do for the team or organization. I have a need for specific details related to my area of authority and responsibility. I believe there is a right way and a wrong way to complete all projects. When taking risks, I may take calculated, educated risks -- only after a thoughtful analysis of the facts and data, and an analysis of options and potential outcomes. I am likely to keep a careful eye on the organizational clock, maintaining a keen awareness of timelines and due dates for projects. I bring a high degree of competence in product- and process- knowledge.
