We had another wonderful Summer Picnic at Franke Park and the Fort Wayne Zoo. It's always special to see our employees and their families come together, have some fun, and enjoy time together outside of work. We're lucky to have such a great team (AND great weather Sunday!)!

A good box starts with good questions. Before we design packaging, we want to understand the product, how it will be handled, how it will be shipped, and what challenges it needs to withstand. The better we understand the need, the better we can design the solution. That's why we have a dedicated design and engineering department ready to help.

Packaging Design Spotlight: Partitions -- the importance INSIDE the box!
--> Packaging partitions are designed to keep products separated, secure, and protected during shipping and handling.

Whether they're used for glass bottles, automotive parts, or specialty products, partitions can help:
-Prevent product-to-product contact
-Reduce damage during transit
-Improve organization during packing

The right packaging solution isn't always about adding more material—it's about designing for the product inside.

70 years later, we're still focused on the same thing: Service.

A lot has changed since Kelly Box first opened its doors. Technology has evolved, markets have shifted, and packaging has become more sophisticated.

But one thing has remained constant: our commitment to taking care of our customers.

For us, service means being responsive, reliable, and willing to do what it takes to help solve problems when they arise. It's a mindset that has guided our company for more than seven decades—and continues to shape how we do business today.

We're grateful for the customers, employees, and partners who have been part of that journey.

3 Things That Increase Packaging Costs (That Aren't Materials)

When companies look to reduce packaging costs, material prices are often the first place they look. But some of the biggest cost drivers aren't the box material itself.

-Freight: Oversized packaging can increase shipping costs, dimensional weight, and the amount of space products take up in transit.

-Storage: Larger packaging requires more warehouse space, which can impact inventory and storage efficiency.

-Labor: Packaging that's difficult to assemble, pack, or handle can add time to every order—and those minutes add up.

The most effective packaging solutions consider the entire process, from production and storage to packing and delivery.

Sometimes a small design change can create savings in places you weren't expecting.
