Backups only matter if they are secure from attackers and proven to work when needed. If they can be accessed, encrypted, or have never been tested through a real restore process, they won’t save you in a crisis. A true backup strategy isn’t about having copies of data, it’s about knowing with certainty that you can recover if everything goes wrong.
