The Fort Wayne Housing Authority is partnering in collaboration with the Volunteer Lawyer Program of Northeast Indiana (VLP) as they host a Landlord Educational Series this Fall.

All sessions will take place at the Main Branch of the Allen County Public Library; refer to the flyer for the specific location of each session.

Registration is required, so be sure to register as soon as possible to help plan for attendance. Registration information is available on the registration form, including a direct link and QR code.

More than 80 job seekers came together on July 16th for the Fort Wayne Housing Authority’s HUD-sponsored JobsPlus Career & Resource Fair, connecting with more than 20 employers and community partners representing over 50 available job opportunities.

Beyond employment opportunities, attendees had access to valuable resources including criminal record expungement services, veteran services, voter registration through the Indiana Secretary of State’s Office, educational opportunities through Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne, HUD resources, career development support, and other services designed to remove barriers to employment.

This event was made possible through the collaboration of JobsPlus, HUD (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development), Fort Wayne Housing Authority, WorkOne Northern Indiana/ WorkOne Northeast, Indiana Career Connect, IMPACT Northeast Indiana, Northeast Indiana Works, and Little Caesars, whose generous donation of pizza helped make the day even more welcoming for attendees.

When community partners come together with a shared purpose, opportunity follows. Thank you to every employer, partner, volunteer, and job seeker who made this event a success as we continue creating pathways to employment, economic mobility, and brighter futures across our community.

📍FWHA: 7315 S Hanna St, Ft. Wayne, IN 46816

This class is designed to equip individuals and families with the knowledge needed to navigate the homebuying journey with greater confidence, from budgeting and credit to loan qualification, first-time homebuyer programs, and down payment assistance opportunities. Participants will also receive a HUD-approved certificate of completion.

Doors open at 8:30am and lunch is included.
Class will be taught in English and Burmese.

Last week, we celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new Tall Oaks Community Garden, a space rooted in resident leadership, partnership, and community pride.

Made possible through collaboration between Fort Wayne Housing Authority, the Tall Oaks Garden Committee, HUD, CNI, and Clesia Ventures, LLC, this garden is more than a beautiful new addition to the neighborhood. It is a place for connection, wellness, and growth.

We’re grateful to everyone who helped bring this vision to life and to the residents who will continue to make this garden flourish.

The Fort Wayne Housing Authority (FWHA) will be opening its Public Housing Waiting Lists for four-and five-bedroom units on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 8:00 AM.

Applications will be accepted online on the digital application portal (Rent Café) which is accessible through our website’s home page at www.fwha.org.
